El Lissitzky, the noted Russian artist, architect, and engineer invented the concept of a “Proun”. A Proun refers to a highly formal, abstract, and orthogonal composition.

 

During this project, I developed a three‐dimensional orthogonal Proun that originating from a compelling 3 by 3 inch square portion of the color composition from project 4B. Every color was assigned a numerical value that was determined by its color value and chroma. The combined numbers formed the volume of each shape of the Proun. The project also developed hue planes, implied volumes, spatial overlaps, extension, and the compression of the boxes.
